It’s a hard time for our industry. In support of a community that has helped us all these years, Elephant Tracks will be available at cost to artists whose primary income is impacted by venue closures and licencing changes.
Elephant Tracks is a dedicated tracking and overdub facility. It’s a unique space, a ground up custom engineered facility modeled after vintage live rooms of the 70’s and 80’s. Instead of a single room sound, the controlled environment presents different sets of sonic “flavours”.
It’s not all late 19th century. Elephant Tracks is also a full plug and play, bring your own device facility. USB, Thunderbolt, MADI, even ADAT devices can jack in and take control. A separate artist monitor system, independent of the recording chain, allows for artist mix control over any wifi enabled device. Perfect for preproduction and pre-tour rehearsals
As a record only facility, the mix process is separated, creating far more options when it comes to final mixes. A professional recording removes a lot of technical barriers that get in the way of musicians who want to mix at home. It also gives dedicated mix engineers more space for creativity within allocated time and budgets. Of course for mixing and editing there’s our sister studio 50 Elephants, or any of our friends.
